DJ Mixtress Victoria “Mixie” today announced plans to open the first Gay Bar & Nightclub smack in the middle of downtown Palm Springs on December 7th, 2007. Mixie’s Boy Bar will be located at 120 S. Palm Canyon Drive at Tahquitz Canyon; upstairs above Ben & Jerry’s and the Fabulous Palm Springs Follies and across the street from Starbucks.
“We searched high and low for a location with just the right look and feel; the new location is the perfect combination of excellent location, great ambiance and beautiful interior design. The spacious patio area provides a birds-eye view of Palm Canyon Drive; for parades, downtown events, or just great people-watching, it is the perfect place to be! Who knew that all we had to do was look up!” The award winning DJ Mixtress Victoria “Mixie,” was formerly the DJ at Toucan’s Tiki Lounge and is a longtime Desert resident.

Just Dance, Dammit! – Friday and Saturday; and
Kickin’ Country Sundays
A variety of other fun and interactive “theme” nights are planned. Plans for the club include the installation of the popular NTN Trivia Game, a state-of-the-art video system, and live entertainment and shows from time-to-time. The club offers a capacity of 235, ample seating for guests, and elevator access. Plans are to host a spectacular Grand Opening Celebration in late January.
